Metal-Ceramic Additive Manufacturing Printer Teknofest Award

A printer capable of printing both metal and ceramic materials together has been developed in the project. The project was carried out with the support of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Research Fund Unit (BAP), TEKNOFEST, and TUBITAK. With the developed printer, participation was made in the TEKNOFEST Technology Competition for the benefit of humanity in the university and higher education category. ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is the 134th in World University Rankings!

According to the 2024 World University Ranking results of the world-renowned higher education rating agency QS, ITU was ranked 108th in Engineering and Technology and 134th in Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering. With this result, ITU became the 1st in Turkey in the field of Mechanical, Aviation and Manufacturing Engineering.

The 27th ITU Mechanical Engineering Faculty Festival

The 27th ITU Mechanical Engineering Faculty Festival was held. As part of the festival, a representative graduation ceremony was held for our 40th, 30th and 20th year graduates. A nostalgic lesson was also given by Prof. Dr. Haluk KARADOĞAN.

TUSAŞ - ITU Facult of Mechanical Engineering Cooperation

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, meetings were held with the TUSAŞ Computational Engineering Director and his team at the Blue Hall of the ITU Mechanical Engineering Department. Within the scope of this visit, it was aimed to create university-industry cooperation projects.

Developing software that can make EasySections section calculations

In this project, a software has been developed that can make cross-section calculations of ready-made profiles as well as random section profiles. Numerical integration method is used in the software. The entire program is written using the Delphi (Pascal) language. Ease of use is prioritized in the program, which has a detailed interface design as well as important drawing and calculation capabilities. Project Manager: Assoc. Dr. Adil Yücel

Engineering Teaching Platform Development Project

250th ANNIVERSARY SEMINARS

In the framework of the 250th Anniversary of ITU, a series of seminars on the history of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was organised. The first seminar of this series was held by Dr Uğurcan Eroğlu, the second seminar by Dr Murat Çakan, and the third seminar by Dr Emin Öngüner.In the framework of the 250th Anniversary activities of ITU, Seminars on Solid Mechanics and Structural Mechanics were held by Dr Giuseppe Ruta, who is working as an associate professor of structural mechanics in the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at La Sapienza University.
