Prof. Dr. M. Nimet Özdaş Special Award for Scientific Excellence

Professor Ahmet Kuzucu, a retired faculty member of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, has received the "Special Award" presented in memory of Professor M. Nimet Özdaş. Through his pioneering work and academic leadership in the fields of System Dynamics and Control, robotics, and mechatronics, Professor Özdaş has made significant scientific contributions to the academic and institutional development of these disciplines in Turkey and has created a lasting impact in the field through the researchers he has trained.

Traditional ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Festival

The 28th Traditional ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Festival was held on May 9, 2026, at the Gümüşsuyu Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Campus. A symbolic ceremony was held for alumni celebrating their 10th, 20th, and 30th anniversaries. Following the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kuzucu gave a nostalgic lecture.

ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology Seminars

Within the scope of the seminars organized for the 250th anniversary of ITU, our esteemed professors and industry representatives gave presentations on digital transformation, smart manufacturing, and sustainable engineering. Although the seminars are broadcast live on the dates they are held, they are archived for future viewing.

On July 4, 2026, at the graduation ceremony held at noon in the ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and in the evening at the ITU Maslak Campus, our undergraduate and graduate students received their diplomas. We congratulate them.

At the "ASELSAN Academy 2025 Graduates Meeting and Thesis Awards Presentation" event organized by ASELSAN Academy on July 1, 2026, the thesis study conducted under the supervision of our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç was deemed worthy of the Outstanding Thesis Award.
