EU Coordination Support for the I-TEXGEO Project

The project titled “IoT Supported Electronic Geotextiles for Sustainable and Smart Precision Agriculture” (I-TEXGEO), led by Prof. Dr. Senem Kurşun and Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç, has been awarded European Union funding for a duration of 48 months with a total budget of €1,683,360.

29th ITU Mechanical Engineering Faculty Festival

The 29th year of the festival featured symbolic diploma ceremonies for our 30th, 20th, and 10th year alumni, highlighted by a nostalgic lecture from Prof. Dr. Metin Gürgöze.

Prof. Dr. Akife Nilüfer Eğrican receives ITU Service Award

Prof. Dr. Akife Nilüfer Eğrican, who served as Dean between 1996 and 2000, was honored with the ITU Service Award for her pioneering contributions in academia, industry, and the field of energy.

2025 ITU Academic Performance Awards Announced

The Istanbul Technical University Academic Performance Awards ceremony was held on June 4, 2025, at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. Members of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering also received awards at the event.
