The project named "Production of Bespoke Polyethylene, PE, and Ethylene Based Thermoplastic Polyolefin Elastomer, TPO, Materials with New Restricted Geometry Postmetallocene Catalysts", in which Assis. Prof. Dr. Alaeddin Burak İrez is a researcher, is supported by TÜBİTAK 1001. In this project, it is aimed to obtain postmetallocene catalysts that are not produced in Turkey and custom-made new PEs and ethylene-based TPOs with a wide variety of microstructure can be controlled with these catalysts. The new PE's and ethylene-based TPO's to be obtained will have high impact resistance, easily coloured, tough, flexible, low density and light weight, mix easily with other components, take shape easily, have high melt strength and can be processed easily, have lower shrinkage properties. Thus, it is thought that while producing new materials with higher added value for our country, it will also make a universal contribution to science.
