Our retired faculty members, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Eksin and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kuzucu, became the recipients of the "Special Award" presented in memory of Prof. Dr. M. Nimet Özdaş.

Prof. Dr. İbrahim Eksin has made permanent scientific contributions to the field of control and automation engineering in Turkey through his pioneering research in the areas of fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence, optimization, and process control—which has resonated widely in the international literature—as well as his highly cited publications and the students he has supervised.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kuzucu, through his pioneering work and academic leadership in the fields of System Dynamics and Control, robotics, and mechatronics, has made significant scientific contributions to the academic and institutional development of these disciplines in Turkey, leaving a lasting impact on the field through the researchers he has trained.
